Group Anti Bullying Policy

The Group is based at our HQ in Framwellgate Moor, which is owned and operated by the Group Executive on behalf of the Group.

Our HQ comprises of;

A large garden to the front of the building with a grassed area and a small yard to the rear of the building. Both these areas are fully fenced.

The Main Hall which is used for the bulk of our Beaver, Cub and Scout meetings that are indoors based.

Adjoining the main hall is a recently refirbished kitchen with serving hatch. We also have two separate toilets, and a meeting/project room where Beavers, Cubs and Scouts can carry out skills based activities. There is also a small entrance hall and a general stores area.

The main hall was refirbished and repainted during the winter of 2009/10 and now looks much brighter and more cheerful.
The main toilet has also recently been fully refirbished to the standard expected from a community building.

The Group trys to fund development costs from external and additional funding. Most of the groups running costs are met by the monthly membership subscriptions paid by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. These are presently set at £14 per month payable by standing order.
The group has an active policy that cost should never be a barrier to Scouting - we opperate a hardship fund - which is entriely funded by external funding and donations. The fund opperates on a case by case basis to support young people within the Group.
