1st Framwellgate Moor Scout Group
Beavers Cubs Scouts Scouts Scouts
Durham Scout County

Our Scout Troops generally meet at the Scout Hut on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evenings respectively from 7.00pm - 9.00pm however we often do activities away from the hut so do check the weekly emails and website for where we are this week!

The varied troop program will to some extent reflect the special interest of the currently invested Scouts. If there's something you would like to do at a meeting or at camp then let us know. In the program for each term we hope to include:
Challenges - both personal and in teams
Scoutcraft Skills - eg. pioneering, fire building, first aid, backwoods cooking and many more
Life Skills - eg. DIY, electronics ...
Outdoor activities - eg. hikes, kayaking, archery ...
Indoor activities - eg. indoor climbing wall, acting ...
Games - from themed wide games to knocking around a football
Camps - under canvas or in a camping barn/hostel
Competition - within the District there are lots of chances to compete against other groups eg. indoor and outdoor scouting competitions, swimming gala, 5-a-side football

As an older Scout, perhaps as a Patrol Leader you will have the opportunity to help plan and run activities within the Troop, building your leadship skills and giving you more responsibility.

If you have any questions about Fram Scouts then feel free to get in touch. We aim to reply to any emails within 1-2 days (if not the same day) so please be reassured you will receive a prompt reply!

Join It would be great to hear from you if you're interested in joining Fram Scouts. Again, we will respond quickly to let you know if there's a space or to ask if you would like your son/daughter to be put down on the waiting list.
